Having been discharged from Ward 4 at UHND before I could walk unaided I collapsed as I was going into my home and now have several haematomas on both legs. I was back at A & E 2 hours later, then Ward 3 and subsequently went to Sedgefield Community Hospital, and then Chester-Le-Street. At both of the latter hospitals I was allowed to recuperate in my own time and I felt well looked after, particularly as I am registered blind, wear 2 hearing aids and am often incontinent. Most of the staff were very tolerant of my needs although at Chester-Le-Street they were often slow reacting when I pressed my buzzer, which meant my bedding and/or clothes needed changing frequently. All-in-all I was very much better looked after in the 2 community hospitals than I was at Ward 4.
I was given assistace with meals
I dont think it can improve
Nurses and doctor
I am filling this in on behalf of my husband and myself and marks family have been more than happy with his care
Cant see where any improvement could take place
